Sector performance
Deal activity in the transport and logistics sector continued apace in 2020, driven by strong demand from financial buyers at all levels, favorable financing terms, and increased interest from strategic buyers in logistics chain assets.
On the infrastructure side of transport and logistics, deal activity was propelled by demand for strong asset classes capable of responding to the sector’s pressing sustainability and decarbonization challenges. Investors also pursued new prime logistics asset classes, including distribution and cold-storage, as well as advanced technology and mobility-as-a-service opportunities.
